Heidi : Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse

Heidi has been vet nursing since 2013, her first year spent nursing in the UK : mainly exotics such as reptiles, peacocks, squirrels and various other small furries. Her second year was spent in a large hospital.

In 2015 she went to Sri Lanka to volunteer on a street dog project, which lead her to work in Kathmandu, Nepal, setting up a street Dog project post earthquake in 2015.

Heidi's passion lies in ethics, welfare & conservation. She worked with Jane Goodall in 2016 to raise awareness for the declining number of Ganges River Dolphins.

In 2017 she worked at a turtle rehabilitation clinic in FNQ. Turtles and frogs are her favourite animals, however the highlight of her career so far has been holding a gorilla's hand through anaesthesia.

Heidi is now keeping her feet in one place, between Northgate and St Vincents Vets, to give your pets 5 star treatment, as though they are her own (currently she doesn't have any of her own).
