Puppy Preschool

Puppy Preschool is a four-week training and socialisation course set up specifically for pups and their owners, to teach pups sociable behaviour and equip owners with basic skills for raising and training a happy, healthy puppy.

Socialising a puppy at this life stage is invaluable in the development of a well adjusted and happy adult dog that will interact well with other dogs and people. This socialising includes acceptance of people near food bowls, bones, toys etc. as well as handling by others such as groomers and the vet.

As an owner, you will gain insight into how pups learn, develop fundamental training skills for basic obedience and puppy toilet training, useful information on health, nutrition and disease prevention amongst many other topics. Questions are always encouraged!

The classes are held in the surgery waiting room on Saturdays, commencing every second month. The courses last four weeks and each class is one hour. The course is aimed at pups that are between 8 and 16 weeks old at the start of the course. The only criterion they need to meet is that they be up to date with their vaccinations.

The course provides for puppy playtime, health and behaviour information as well as training tips. Unlike most of the Puppy Preschool classes out there, our course is run by one of Queensland's best dog trainers from Jordan Dog Training; so you can rest assured that you are receiving the correct professional advice and training for the well-being of your pup.
